Hello, friends! This year’s Pacific Crest Trail and Continental Divide Trail Surveys will be posted a little later than normal.
This is due to two factors. First, there are still people completing trails and filling out the surveys. Second, I am going to be completely disconnected from the date this is posted until the second week of January on a Grand Canyon rafting trip.
I would rather have a more complete and comprehensive collection of data published than attempt to rush the results out before everyone has had a chance to fill out the survey. There are also multiple things that have been added to the surveys this year which means that they’ll take a bit longer than I’m used to.
All that said, you can count on the first results (likely the PCT Survey) being posted in the second week of January with regular survey updates to follow.
If you’re looking for some hiking data in the meantime, you can check out the first John Muir Trail Hiker Survey which has already been published.
As always, let me know fi you have any questions, comments, or suggestions – I’ll get back to you in January!
