Our friend Appa The Sky Bison has once again taken to adventuring.
We have already had the privilege of interviewing him about his upcoming thru-hike and have even been able to take a look at his complete gear list.
In an effort to continue imposing on his life, I will be occasionally updating the status of his adventure so long long as Mr. Appa manages to report in with updates (if he fails to report, I may just start inventing things).
Here he is at the southern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail (go north).
Enjoy yourself out there, brother.
PACIFIC CREST TRAIL DAY 1
“I see a vision of a great rucksack revolution thousands or even millions of young Americans wandering around with rucksacks, going up to mountains to pray, making children laugh and old men glad, making young girls happy and old girls happier, all of ’em Zen Lunatics who go about writing poems that happen to appear in their heads for no reason and also by being kind and also by strange unexpected acts keep giving visions of eternal freedom to everybody and to all living creatures…”
Jack Kerouac, The Dharma Bums
