SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie Specs
The following specs reflect the SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie in a men’s medium. The size I used for this review is a men’s large (I’m 5’10” / 179 cm and 185 lb / 84 kg). I have not tried the medium, but I think it would be too small based on how the large fits.

The Good
The Comfort
The SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie is a comfortable piece of gear. I often forget that I’m wearing it, whether I’m active outdoors or lounging at home (heating is expensive, people). It’s soft and comfortable against the skin, and it leaves enough room to not be restrictive (I have a size large). I typically use it as a mid-layer for being active outdoors, but it’s a great layer for any activity where weight savings isn’t a priority.
The Warmth
For a lightweight polyester fleece, the SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie is as warm as you would expect. It’s perfect for putting when you get to the point of “it’s too cold for me just to be sitting here in a regular shirt, but the temperature doesn’t call for something as dramatic as an insulated jacket.” I typically run incredibly hot, and I am usually comfortable wearing the CAMP Hoodie in anything under about 67°F / 19°C. I’ve used it in sub-freezing temperatures as well but always as a mid-layer.
The Okay
The Wind Resistance
I didn’t expect the SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie to do a great job of cutting the wind, as I see it more as a casual, car-camping, or active mid-layer. However, it does an okay job of keeping the wind chill at bay. Note: This is just okay. My expectation was zero, so it exceeded my expectations. I would not rely on it as an outer layer in extremely cold or windy conditions. However, as a mid-layer, it’ll still get the job done.
The Weight
The CAMP Hoodie is not an ultralight piece of technical gear. It’s lightweight, yes, but if you’re looking for something that will offer you the greatest warmth-to-weight ratio, this is not it. I’ve found it great as a mid-layer for colder days riding at ski resorts or backcountry tours. Typically, I will forget that I’m even wearing it on the mountain (unless I am skinning up, but I run incredibly hot).
The Price
I can see arguments being made for the CAMP Hoodie being priced either too high or just right. At $99 ($129 for the full-zip version), it’s certainly not inexpensive (there are more affordable fleeces available), but it’s also not the most expensive option. If weighing the price as a consideration for purchasing, it may help to remember that SkyGOAT is a small company active in the outdoor community.
The Bad
The Colors: My least favorite part of SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie is the color options. I am a big fan of all the colors available, but why does the rest of the hoodie have to be gray? I wish there was a gray-free version available or, even better, a customizer available to design your own. Perhaps this is something to hope for in the future should SkyGOAT find success as a company with its current offerings.

Wrap Up
The SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie is great if you want something comfortable to wear when it’s too cold for a T-shirt and too warm for an insulated jacket. I’ve used mine extensively and, despite my best efforts, have yet to notice any wear or damage.
I find myself using it regularly – beyond the scope of simply reviewing it – which says a lot for a piece of gear. That said, I am not a huge fan of the full-zip versions.

SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie Review
Summary
The SkyGOAT CAMP Hoodie is a lightweight 100% polyester fleece with a hood and single kangaroo pocket. If you’re not looking for something technical, it’s a good option to keep you comfortable between t-shirt weather and insulated-jacket weather. It runs a bit small, so size up if you’re between sizes.
