Support Halfway Anywhere and make the internet more hiker-friendly

In 2013, I set out on my first long-distance hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. Before, during, and afterward, I wrote about the trail in hopes of sharing my experience and helping others wanting to hike the PCT. Never could I have imagined that I would still be hiking and sharing my adventures with you all today. It kind of just happened.

Backpacking quickly went from “this thing I did this one time”, to “a thing I do sometimes”, to “a thing I do all the time”, to “the thing that literally defines my life and who I am”. It’s been an interesting (and quite scenic) journey.

Halfway Anywhere has grown beyond the simple (and free) internet blog it was born as now, maintaining it costs more than I would like to admit. The best place to support Halfway Anywhere is on Patreon. By becoming a patron, you won’t only be helping to keep Halfway Anywhere online and helping me to continue bringing content to you, but you will also receive access to perks and exclusive content not available anywhere else.

Patreon

Patreon gives me the opportunity to reward supporters and to connect with you all on a more personal level.

When you become a patron you’ll be privy to content not published on the blog or social media as well as a bunch of other perks (including sweet stickers, Q&A sessions, and one-on-one pack shakedowns and trip planning).

THANK YOU TO MY PATRONS!

More Ways to Support

Here are some easy ways to support Halfway Anywhere if Patreon isn’t your things.

Gear Purchases

Need to spend every last bit of currency on your gear for more #EXTREMEWALKING adventures? That’s totally cool, friend, Halfway Anywhere uses affiliate links which means that when you make a purchase using one of these links (like those in my current gear list), I earn a small commission. The cost to you for using these links? Zero.

Social Media

Don’t have any dollars to pledge on Patreon or to buy yourself gear? That’s cool, too. I got you. In that case, the best way to show your support is to follow, like, and comment on social media. You can usually find me on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, but I hang out on YouTube, Twitter, and Tumblr, too if that’s more your thing.

Read and Share

Don’t have dollars for gear or social media? No issue there, friend. You’ve made it this far into the “support” page of Halfway Anywhere which means a lot. The best way for you to help support me is by simply visiting Halfway Anywhere. Reading, commenting, and telling your awesome outdoorsy friends about the site helps a lot!

Newsletter

Lastly, subscribe to my newsletter so we can remain friends – even when you’re too busy browsing the internet for cat pictures to visit me on Halfway Anywhere.
