The 2024 REI Co-op Member Coupon Moment
Today begins the Member Coupon Moment (but shouldn’t it be Member Moment Coupon?) at REI.
The focus of this sale is the member-only coupon, which gives REI Co-op members 20% off full-priced items and an additional 20% off outlet items. But there are some additional items on sale just for members as well. Spoiler alert: it’s basically The North Face, kid’s bicycles, and REI Co-op tents. But this is just what’s on sale beyond the 20% coupon.

To take advantage of the coupon, you need to be an REI member. A lifetime membership costs $30, and in addition to access to the coupon, you also get an annual rebate of 10% on eligible purchases made the previous year. After signing up for a membership, you will also get a $30 REI coupon emailed to you. Honestly, it’s a pretty good deal.
This means that basically everything is on sale for REI Co-op members.
Basically everything? Yes, “basically everything.”
Here’s a list of what’s excluded: bicycles, bike simulators, skis, ski boots or ski bindings; snowboards, snowboard boots or snowboard bindings; kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, rafts; any item with GPS technology, fitness trackers, personal locator beacons, avalanche transceivers, airbag products, roof-top tents, and selected brands.
Selected brands? Where’s a list of these brands? I can’t find one, but I can tell you that HOKA ONE ONE will be on it. Find the full list of terms/exclusions here (but not a list of excluded brands).
Despite all the exclusions, it’s still a great time to get some savings on brands (that aren’t on the special and secretive “selected” list).
