Most people find themselves in Nepal with the goal of trekking in the legendary Himalaya, but there’s a lot to see at the lower elevations as well.
On my first trip to the country (yes, one of many I hope to make) I only managed to get a small glimpse of Kathmandu whilst not parading around with my backpack in the mountains. However, I was lucky enough to see some of the cities most famous sights before many of them were damaged in the earthquake that struck just a few months following my departure.
Yes, the road to Everest Base Camp is an amazing place, but Kathmandu ranks high among the places I’m excited to get back to (despite heavy pollution).
While in Nepal, I also took pictures of a lot of the people I met there which I will be publishing shortly after this (in case you’re thinking to yourself, “Where are all the kind and amazing people I hear so much about?” Because I know, you hear a lot about Nepalese people in your daily life).

Lucky dog! When you eat a plate of momo’s in a leaf dish dipped in achar – know that I will be eating them by proxy. This will explain why you are hungry after the first serving and suddenly find yourself buying and eating a second serving (which I will not eat by proxy – come on, I’m not greedy).
