Photo Gallery: Budget Travel (Beds Edition)

July 9, 2014 By Mac 2 Comments

Many people think that because I travel, it somehow means that I have some vast reserve of gold hidden away in the mountains (which is why I had to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, duh).

Alas, my trusty treasure trove fails to support the lavish habits of many travelers and vacation-goers – namely, staying at hotels (or even hostels).

So where do I sleep whilst out and about in the world? Simple: wherever I can.

The following is a (non-exhaustive) collection of places I found to lay my head during my recent time spent in the Europe. Many of these sleeping spots came from the generosity of local Couchsurfing communities, others came from friends abroad, and some came as a result of fortunate circumstances.

But most importantly, they were all free of charge (with the exception of the occasional rub n' tug).

Note: not represented are the many train stations, bus stops (with one exception), and various means of public transportation I found myself taking advantage of when in need of the ever elusive sleep.
