Bush & Banter Podcast S2E1
Bush & Banter is “[a]n outdoor-inspired, seasonal, topic-driven podcast hosted by Thru-Hikers Jennifer Mabus and Dyana Carmella.” Why is the word “thru-hikers” capitalized in the podcast description? I don’t know – not important. What is important is the fabulous time I had talking with the two hosts to open up their pod’s second season.
It was my honor to be the duo’s first guest (after an entire season of them talking to just each other), and – I feel like I say this every time, but I also feel like it’s true every time – this was my favorite podcast conversation to date.
We talk more than just thru-hiking as Dyana and Jenn examine my bicycle ride across the Australian Outback, first ultramarathon, winter Grand Canyon rafting trip, aspirations to start pulling myself up rocks (i.e., climbing), and more.
Here’s the much-too-flattering description from Bush & Banter.
Tyler “Mac” Fox, a fearless adventurer and all-around cool guy, delights Jennifer and Dyana with tales of his epic expeditions across the globe. From conquering the rapids of the Grand Canyon to cycling across the vast expanse of Australia, from pushing himself to the limits in an ultra-marathon to thru-hiking both the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail, Mac has done it all. In this engaging conversation, he also shares his top picks for favorite adventure gear he can’t live without and shares his next big outdoor goal he hopes to face.
