Rows of red Nescau bottles filled with Nestlé Nescau Fast, a chocolate-flavored UHT milk drink, line the store shelf. Each 200ml bottle features a lightning bolt design with Portuguese print, capturing attention effortlessly.

Nescau: A Delicious Alternative To Brazil’s Milk

A magical drink called Nescau, manufactured by Nestle (who also brands water in Brazil), exists in the grocery stores of Brazil.

This drink apparently gives you energy (at least I assume so because of the lightning bolt on it and because the word “FAST” is written on the side in English), but that is not the (most) important part.

Nascau
Sweet, sweet nectar.

What is magically delicious about this (let me interrupt and say that this is not Nesquick, even if someone (Nestle included) tells you so) drink is that it tastes like what I guess chocolate milk tastes like (guessing because I have never had chocolate milk – don’t judge me) only it is mixed with unicorn tears and samba (for that extra kick).

You can purchase the small bottles pictures above, a juice box carton, or a larger can (or bag) of powder for mixing with some warm, foul-tasting milk. The only problem with the bottles and juice boxes, like most food products I have encountered, is that they are too small.

I could sure use some of that powder for the Pacific Crest Trail though.
