Bush & Banter Podcast: Riding the Divide – A 2,665-Mile Adventure South

Bush & Banter is “an outdoor-inspired, seasonal, topic-driven podcast hosted by Thru-Hikers Jennifer Mabus and Dyana Carmella where they interview people way cooler than they’ll ever be,” and I had the honor of being on a second episode of the pod (find my first podcast talking to Jenn and Dyana here).

This podcast focuses (mostly) on my recent race of the Tour Divide from Banff, Alberta to Antelope Wells, New Mexico at the US-Mexico border. It’s difficult to compress the entirety of the ride into an hour-long podcast episode, but we did our best?

Here’s the episode description from Bush & Banter.

In this episode, Jen and Dyana chat with long-distance cyclist (among other things) Tyler “Mac” Fox about his recent epic ride along The Tour Divide bike route, spanning from Banff, Alberta, Canada, to the U.S.-Mexico border in New Mexico. Fox completed the grueling 2,665-mile journey in 19 days, 17 hours, and 18 minutes, battling harsh weather, drastic elevation changes, and exhaustion as he navigated diverse terrains across some of North America’s most stunning landscapes. He shares the story of his toughest day, the motivation behind taking on this challenge, and what adventure lies ahead for him.
